2013 CED Spring Webinar Series

We are excited to announce the 2013 CED Spring Webinar Series!

The webinars will offer a mix of content for staff from nonprofits and Community Development Corporations (CDCs) that have received new or ongoing CED grants. In addition, some content will be offered for prospective grantees or grantees engaging in new projects. The webinar presentations will be grouped into four tracks, based on topic:

Track 1: 2013 Interested Applicants

This track is designed for Community Development Corporations (CDCs) that are interested in applying for OCS’s Community Economic Development (CED) and Healthy Food Financing Initiative (HFFI) grants to support their business development, low-income job creation, and healthy food projects.  Attendees for these presentations may be CDCs that have never received CED funding before or those that have received funding but are engaging in new projects.  Presentations will include insights and lessons learned from experienced grantees about implementing their programs and managing their grants.  Important information about the program announcements and grants.gov will be provided.  In addition, sessions will present information about how to obtain foundational and federal support for projects and how to develop an effective business plan.
